Salary Range: AUD 150,000 per annum and above

OUR CLIENT

Our client is a leading international provider of project management, engineering and consultancy services to the resources and infrastructure industries.

It’s group consists of four business units;

• Results-focused consultancy providing Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) services to the mining, minerals and energy resource sector,
• Production automation specialist, providing “Intelligent Production” control and information management solutions for optimal plant throughput and “Increased Asset Utilisation”,
• Safety and Training Services to the resource, construction and manufacturing industries. Safety Services delivers safety services in affiliation with its fully owned safety provider, Safety & Rescue Australia, and
• Provider of rail engineering, project management and operational support services to the resources and transport industries.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides technical support under general supervision in relation to design and engineering services for civil engineering projects.
• Ensures all civil engineering project work complies with statutory and regulatory requirements and company policies and practices.
• Prepares preliminary and detailed designs, specifications and documentation for all civil engineering project work and ensures project work complies with conditions and parameters set out in project scope of works.
• Ensures all civil engineering project work is completed on time and within budget.
• Prepares documentation for standards, procedures, safe working practices and monitors regimes in respect of work on or around civil engineering projects.
• Liaises with other department engineers and draftspersons to ensure project goals are met.
• Assists with the preparation of civil engineering budget.
• Develops and trains Graduate Civil Engineers.

REQUIREMENTS

• 10+ years’‘ experience in a project engineering office designing civil works for large engineering, rail and infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated commercial acumen in the engineering and construction environment.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise.
• Good attention to detail.
• Teamwork.
• Results orientated and self-starter.
• Able to communicate effectively with people at all levels in the organisation.
• Able to maintain composure under all circumstances.
• Ownership, responsibility and accountability.
